House of Representatives
Rep. Pam Dickerson is currently serving her third term in the Georgia House of Representatives, serving Rockdale and Newton counties. She is currently serving on six House committees, including Judiciary Non-Civil (ranking member), Juvenile Justice, Education, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Game Fish & Parks, and State Planning & Community Affairs.
Rep. Pam Dickerson has recently passed two bills, HB 901, which will enhance and improve a city charter and HB 187, which allows for Drug Free Commercial Zones in the city of Porterdale in Newton County. She has recently received the Jarnett Wigington Service Award in Rockdale County for her dedication to service. Representative Dickerson was chosen by The Speaker of the House to attend The Carl Vinson Leadership Institute, UGA, one of five Democrats chosen. She also partnered with The Women’s Diagnostic Center at Newton Medical, Rockdale Medical Center, renowned Surgeon Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, Dr. Yara Robertson, and GRN Health Dept. for a successful “Women’s Wellness Day, in which all medical services were free, including over forty free mammograms. Along with her other many accomplishments, Rep. Dickerson partnered with the law firm of Montlick & Associates and Children Without A Voice (a non-profit organization that assist children who have been bullied), to host an anit-bully rally at Newton County High School.
Candidate State Representative District 113
Pam has resided in the district for the past 16 years. Previously she lived in DeKalb County Georgia for 16 years. From the early ages of her life, she along with the kids in her native New Orleans neighborhood, were recruited into the political arena, often canvassing the neighborhoods during the political seasons. She has said "politics has been in my blood for a long time”.
Pam is a product of the school systems of New Orleans, LA. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern University in New Orleans, La. Where she was president of the Foreign Language Honor Society (Alpha Mu Gamma). I love the languages, where French was my language of choice.
For the past 41 years, I have been employed by Delta Airlines. I have also owned a small business. My latest venture was certified by the SBA. I have truly been blessed with a great family and friends.
